Lady Goblins throttle Clarksville on courts

It was a good night to be a Lady Goblin on Thursday.
The Harrison tennis teams played host to Clarksville at Harrison Country Club and the Lady Goblins dominated their opponents while the Goblins picked up three wins.
Senior Girls
Harrison won 7-of-8 matches against Clarksville on Thursday.
Olivia Eddings grabbed Harrison’s first win in a matchup of No. 1 players as she defeated Hannah Bean, 9-7.
Harrison’s Katarina Mesarosova skunked Clarksville’s Allison Tucker, 8-0, while Miranda Blevins came out on top, 9-7, over Maria Fabian.
In a match between No. 5 singles players, Andrea Ibarguchi fell to Tucker, 6-2.
The Harrison doubles team of McKenzie Glenn and Lindsey Ward won their No. 1 doubles match, 8-2, while Addison Satterwhite and Mazzy Crenshaw earned an 8-0 win.
Makayla Campbell and Isabel McNutt grabbed an 8-2 victory while Emmaleigh Hardy and Shane Gilliam were victorious, 6-4.
Senior Boys
The Goblins grabbed three wins over Clarksville on Thursday.
Clarksville knocked off Harrison’s No. 1 singles player, Colton Simpson, 8-1, and also defeated No. 2 Tryton Diffey, 8-2.
Nathan Devito outpointed his opponent to earn an 8-5 win for the Goblins.
In doubles play, the team of Ethan Bell and Donnie Armstrong won their No. 1 doubles match, 8-5.
Jacob Jones and Corbin Simpson fell in a No. 2 doubles match, 8-2, but the tandem of Simpson and Diffey picked up a 6-4 victory.
Harrison’s Joseph Adams and Mason Harrison were defeated by Clarksville, 6-1.
Harrison will next be in action on Tuesday when the team travels to Alma.
