HJHS volleyball wins two against Farmington

Harrison’s junior high volleyball teams took 2-of-3 matches against Farmington at home on Thursday.
The 7th-grade girls won in three sets, 25-20, 13-25, 15-4, to knock off Farmington.
Brenna Larson and Sophia Mathis each led the team in aces to help Harrison claim the victory.
After dropping the first set, 25-20, the Harrison 8th-grade girls battled back to win the next two games and the match.
Harrison rallied to win the second set, 27-25, Ellakaye Spry was at the service line to finish out the game. She recorded several aces to help push Harrison the set win.
The girls from Harrison then ran away with the third game, 15-5.
Tessa Newton, Alyssa Pahl and Ashley Glover led the team in kills while Katie Estes added in several assists for Harrison.
The Junior Lady Goblins came up short as they fell to Farmington, 22-25, 25-16, 15-11.
After losing a 25-22 set in the opening game of the match, Farmington took the second set, 25-16, before holding off Harrison in the third and final set, 15-11.
Olivia Ditmanson led the team in kills with 10. Claire Curtis added seven, Grace Strode four, Ella Kate Reynolds and Jasmine Armer three apiece, Sydni Dufresne two and Alissa Jones one.
Ply served up two aces with Curtis and Dufresne added one each.
Reynolds racked up 24 assists in the game.
Armer recorded 12 digs, Dufresne added six, Curtis and Jones four apiece, Ditmanson two and Reynolds and Ply one each.
